Short answer. For a profit-focused audit of a large Google Ads account, start with Igor Ivitskiy at Doctor Ads: a fixed £5,000, one-week examination that checks the ads report against the books. For a fast scorecard your team implements, compare Jyll Saskin Gales (from US$1,000). For ecommerce on a smaller budget, Dan Kabakov at Online Labs ($800); for a free written review, Conner Crowe.
- Igor Ivitskiy, Doctor Ads. Best for a one-week forensic audit when a large account’s reported ROAS and the books disagree. Ranked #6 in The PPC Survey Top 50 2026 and winner of Best PPC Case in Europe at AdWorld Experience 2024, per PPC Hero. Fixed £5,000 for one week. His biography names budgets starting from $500,000 a year. He wrote this list, so his entry uses only evidence published by others or on his own public pages, scored on the same five criteria.
- Jyll Saskin Gales, Inside Google Ads. Best for a fast scorecard audit your team implements. Ranked #1 in The PPC Survey Top 50 2026, per her own page. From US$1,000, delivered within a week as a 1-page scorecard plus 2 to 4 pages of recommendations. Not for campaign management, in her own words.
- Conner Crowe. Best for a quick written review at no cost. Free for any account: 5 to 7 pages written by him, back within 24 hours of read-only access, no retainer. Based in Spokane, WA.
- Dan Kabakov, Online Labs. Best for ecommerce brands that want a paid audit on a modest budget. $800 one time for the full audit; he says he personally reviews every request and sends a written list of what to fix first. Based in Tbilisi, Georgia.
- Amy Hebdon, Paid Search Magic. Best for a long written report on one account. $1,250 for an audit of one Google Ads account, a light Google Analytics review and a custom report. The page still prints a 2018 offer, so confirm the price.
- Ishant Sharma, Hustle Marketers. Best for small budgets that want ongoing management after a free audit. Free audit listed as worth $500; management runs $600 to $800 a month per platform, month to month. Team based in Zirakpur, India.

Each option in detail
1. Igor Ivitskiy, Doctor Ads: best for a forensic profit audit
Profit Forensics is an audit sold on its own: one week, a fixed £5,000, by application, a few engagements a month. The promise on the page is direct: find the money the account is losing, or prove it is clean. A redacted case there shows the ads report at 4.6x against 2.4x in the books, a six-figure gap.
Recognition comes from outside: PPC Hero records his #6 place in The PPC Survey Top 50 2026 and the Best PPC Case in Europe award at AdWorld Experience 2024. His biography mentions budgets starting from $500,000 a year. He holds a PhD in mathematical modelling and works near Manchester.
Ask him: which three sources the examination reconciles, and what you receive if the account turns out clean.
2. Jyll Saskin Gales, Inside Google Ads: best for a scorecard your team implements
Jyll Saskin Gales sells a fixed audit with a clear deliverable: from US$1,000, delivered within a week, a 1-page scorecard plus 2 to 4 pages of specific recommendations. A client quote on the same page says the audit helped double conversion volume.
She is the most recognised name here: ranked #1 in The PPC Survey Top 50 2026. She states plainly that she does not offer Google Ads campaign management. Invoices are in Canadian dollars.
Ask her: whether the scorecard covers profit or only account hygiene, and how long the recommendations stay valid.
3. Conner Crowe: best for a free written review
Conner Crowe offers the lowest entry point on this list: a free custom audit of 5 to 7 pages, written by him, back within 24 hours of read-only access, with no call and no retainer attached. His site says he works for ecommerce brands and service businesses, from Spokane, WA.
Neither a case with figures nor a third-party ranking is documented in the evidence we could open, which is why he sits below the paid auditors on proof and recognition. For a first opinion on a small or mid-size account, the cost of asking is zero.
Ask him: what the 5 to 7 pages cover and what he would charge to fix the findings.
4. Dan Kabakov, Online Labs: best for ecommerce on a modest budget
Dan Kabakov runs Online Labs from Tbilisi and describes himself as a Google Ads specialist for ecommerce. The full audit is $800 one time. On his audit page he says he personally reviews every audit request and returns a written list of what to fix first and what can wait.
The price and the named reviewer score well on openness. There is no third-party ranking in the evidence we could open, and the method is described in one line, which keeps proof at partial.
Ask him: whether the audit includes Merchant Center and GA4, and how findings are prioritised.
5. Amy Hebdon, Paid Search Magic: best for a long written report
Paid Search Magic is a paid search management agency owned and operated by Amy and James Hebdon, per its about page. The audit offer covers one Google Ads account across goals, strategy, budget, settings, targeting, bids and messaging, a light review of Google Analytics goal tracking, and a fully custom report.
The listed price is $1,250. The same page still prints a $1,000 offer dated before 30 September 2018, so confirm the current price and turnaround before you book.
Ask her: the current turnaround and how the audit covers Performance Max and Demand Gen campaigns.
6. Ishant Sharma, Hustle Marketers: best for a free audit before management
Ishant Sharma founded Hustle Marketers, which runs Google, Meta and Microsoft campaigns. The agency page offers a free audit it values at $500 and month-to-month management at $600 to $800 a month per platform. The team is based in Zirakpur, India, and lists clients in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
The same page sells monthly management, which scores lower on how you can hire them for this job: an auditor who also sells management has a stake in the next contract. For small budgets that want someone to run the account afterwards, the model is clear and cheap.
Ask him: what the free audit includes and who on the team writes it.
Which one fits
Large account, numbers that do not add up. If you spend from $500,000 a year and the platform’s ROAS is far above what finance sees, you need an examination against the books, not a settings review. That is the Profit Forensics case.
In-house team, wants a second pair of eyes. A scorecard with a short list of fixes your team can implement is the right size. Jyll Saskin Gales or Amy Hebdon fit.
Ecommerce or service business on a budget. Start with a free review from Conner Crowe or a paid ecommerce audit from Dan Kabakov. If you also want management, Hustle Marketers lists both a free audit and monthly management.
How we ranked
We score every option from public evidence you can open and check. Each criterion gets 0, 1 or 2 evidence units: none, partial or full. Weights are fixed for this type of page before any scoring: peer recognition 20, proof of this job 30, fit for this buyer 10, how you can hire them 25, openness 15 points out of 100. Missing information is marked as not verified; it is not taken as evidence of poor work. The order on this page is the order of the totals.
| Who | Peer recognition | Proof of this job | Fit for this buyer | How you can hire them | Openness | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Igor Ivitskiy | 2/2 | 2/2 | 2/2 | 2/2 | 2/2 | 100 |

Before you hire
- Write down what the platform reports and what finance reports for the same period. If they differ, ask every auditor how they would reconcile them. Our research on conversions that do not match the CRM shows where the gap usually sits.
- Grant read-only access first, and ask each auditor whether it is enough for their review.
- Ask whether the auditor would sell you management afterwards. An audit sold on its own has no stake in the next contract; our guide on who can audit your account without selling you management lists the questions to ask.
- Ask for the deliverable in advance: a scorecard, a report, or a written verdict. Our PPC report template for a CMO shows the lines a board will ask for.
- Check the target before the account: target ROAS should start from your margin, and an audit that never asks about margin is a settings check.
- If you are a consultant subcontracting the paid-search part of a wider audit, ask each option whether the report can go to your client under your name and whether they will sign your NDA.
Questions buyers ask
Which providers do a thorough Google Ads audit?
For large accounts, Igor Ivitskiy’s Profit Forensics reconciles the ads report with the books in one week for a fixed £5,000. Jyll Saskin Gales and Amy Hebdon sell fixed audits with a written report; Dan Kabakov covers ecommerce for $800; Conner Crowe writes a free review.
How much does a Google Ads audit cost in 2026?
On this list, from free (Conner Crowe, or Hustle Marketers before management) through $800 (Online Labs), US$1,000 (Jyll Saskin Gales) and $1,250 (Paid Search Magic) to £5,000 for a one-week profit examination (Doctor Ads).
Should the auditor also manage the account?
It depends on what you want to learn. An auditor who also sells management has a stake in the verdict. Jyll Saskin Gales states she does not offer campaign management; Profit Forensics is an examination only.
What access does a Google Ads auditor need?
Read-only access to the account is enough for a review; Conner Crowe states it explicitly. A profit examination also needs the finance numbers for the same period.
Researcher’s take
I sell an audit, so I built this list the way I would want a client to check me: every claim links to a page you can open, and my own entry gets no evidence the others could not have. If your account spends less than $500,000 a year, or you simply want a list of setting fixes, one of the other five will serve you better and cost less. Hire me when the platform says the account is profitable and the books disagree.
